What should we do ?
It is important that people feel welcome and can make a quick transition from 'just visiting' to actually belonging to the church community.
How can we do it ?
- We believe that Home Groups are the key to integrating new people and we will continue to encourage participation in the groups, through providing high-quality material, encouraging the leaders and having a varied programme.
- The Pastoral Support Team is going to become active in the role of spotting and following up newcomers, and encouraging Home Group participation where possible.
- We will promote Home Groups in the church more regularly and vigorously.
What can you do ?
- Find out to which Home Group you belong and play an active part in this.
- Show an interest in people who visit Brig, say 'hello' and chat with people you don't know.
