Want to write a testimony? |
A Heart that WorshipsThis is a word of encouragement for the church really, not a testimony. First things first, I just want to say that I really love being at Brig, and I really value what a great family feeling we have at our church. Anyway, back to business. God is so good! For a few months now I have been praying that God will take us into a deeper relationship with him as a body, particularly through worship. And more recently, after a meeting with a few other people involved in worship, and children's work, that children at Brig would be drawn into a fruitful worship life. I was so blessed in Sunday morning's service, when God so beautifully showed me that he has heard our prayers, and he is moving! I was standing at the back during the worship time, a practice that I like to do, for two reasons. Firstly I am a bit of a jiggler, and I know that no one will be annoyed if I kick my chair back accidentally, and two, because you get a great view of how the spirit is moving. But it was during this worship time that a young lad in front of me (I wont give his name to save him from embarrassment), got my attention. He was singing, but at the same time, seemed to be struggling to break into worship. Then God reminded me of what I had been praying about, and I felt God say that he is going to take us deeper. It was just at that moment that this young lad broke out into the most beautiful sort of dance thing with his hands, worshipping and almost doing actions to the song we were singing (STRENGTH WILL RISE). You could tell that there was complete interaction between him and God, it was amazing. Then I was overwhelmed by a really heavy feeling of Gods Spirit falling on his church, it felt great I know I was not the only one who felt it because all of a sudden it kicked off big time, and hands shot up all over the place and the noise level went mental! I have to go and get myself mentally prepared for the Chelsea v Liverpool game tonight! God Bless. Joe April 2007 |
