Wednesdays

No 36 is open for the community all day on Wednesdays during school terms (9.30-4.00)

Are available at these times. All are welcome to come in and enjoy No 36’s attractive, chilled environment for a cuppa and a chat or just to take some time out and sit quietly before continuing with the rush of life.

Prayer Room

Upstairs in No 36 there is a beautiful and calm room that has been set aside for prayer, quietness and healing. many have said they have felt the presence of God there. This room is for the use of anyone who would like to find spiritual rest and refreshment. We would also be very happy to pray for you for any need including healing.

Library

This is a new feature. We have a good selection of books that are available for anyone in the community to borrow. Come and have a browse – you could even do a review for us!


Cochlear Support Group (HCCIG)

We are an offshoot of the Home Counties Cochlear Implant Group.

Local group meets at No 36 every three months or so. For those who have a cochlear implant and their families. Anyone interested is welcome to come.

Art Evenings

Whether you are an experienced artist or someone who would just like to ‘have a go’, this creative evening may be Just what you need to unwind.

Card Making Evenings

Another chance to express your creativity, have an enjoyable evening and at the same time produce personalised cards for your loved ones. Times and dates to be announced But – if you are interested you can put your name on the waiting list ahead of time (places will be limited!)

Book Club

For those who enjoy a good book and a good discussion. This group agrees on, then reads a book each month. At the meeting there is a discussion of the content, themes, merits (or otherwise!) of the book. All are welcome to join in these relaxed yet stimulating evenings.

Car Care

A three evening course for those who would like to be able to do very basic checks and procedures (eg changing a wheel, checking the car before a long journey) independently!

These courses will run at intervals, as and when the demand is sufficient. Please ring and leave your name and telephone number to be put on the waiting list and we will let you know when the next course will begin.

Alpha Courses

Are run at regular intervals through the year, usually on a Monday evening. A chance to look a the Christian message and the person of Jesus Christ in a relaxed, comfortable setting with others who believe, don’t believe or simply, don’t know what to believe!

Each evening begins with a meal together, provided at No 36, then there is a short talk and often lively discussion over coffee, of the evening’s topic or any other issue or question you may have. Courses run for 10 weeks.
