Roy proves God´s grace works in difficult times.
Being out-of-action for three months is very hard, especially if you are the leader of a busy church. But that was the case when, from January to March, I was in hospital with a very serious bout of peritonitis and then recuperating. I now have to go three times a week for haemodialysis, which is again difficult through the long time involved in visits.
It is easy to get down and despondent at times like this, but over and over again God reassured me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power works best in your weakness" (II Cor 12.8), something you know I've proved over and over again in my illness.
I'm now excited to be back and especially looking forward to Vision Sunday where we will shate the new Vision Statement –
"We are building a community in North Enfield whose aim is to live and love like Jesus, and to invite people to join us in getting to know him".
I'm looking forward to playing my full part in this and I pray you are too, as we continue to be the church in the community for the community of North Enfield.
